Baby oh!!! LOTS OF PICS! ♥

As I said earlier, I just threw a baby shower for one of my good friends. She has 3 boys and after waiting and waiting, is finally having her girl!! So, it was a very "pink" shower. I hand-made all of the game prizes, as well as most of the decorations. I tried to make the larger decorations so that she could take them home and use them as decor for her nursery if she wanted, and she did!! I had so much fun making all of these things that I am even now considering doing some party planning when I have time haha!!
Here are some pictures of some of  the deco -

Guest Book
Wall Hanging
I also made a banner out of pink glitter paper with a brown background that says "Sweet Baby Girl" and pink and white favor boxes with bows cut out of the sides and scalloped edges [no pics of those tho :( ]Here is how we used these to decorate!!

For the game prizes I made a simple mini album and an explosion box. It was the first explosion box I ever made and it was sooo easy and sooo fun! Well, I attribute it's ease to my Cricut and Make the Cut software!! I already have so many pics in this post I won't bog it down with more, so if you would like to see the mini and explosion box click here.
Thanks for looking at all the fun I had!

Big News!!!!

Well, we have some big news!! And it's NOT that I am pregnant thank the Lord :)

After many months of prayer and counsel, Andre has enlisted in the US Army as a medic. He leaves for Basic Training on baby Tre's 1st birthday, November 22. I am very happy that he will get to come home during Basic for Christmas ♥

Please keep our family in your prayers as we embark on this new journey. I am extremely proud of my husband. I also am very excited for the opportunities that we will now be able to offer our children that we would not be able to if we weren't part of the military. They will now get to travel and see many parts of the US, and the world!

We will still be in Las Vegas for at least 10 more months spending as much time with our family and friends as we can, then wherever the Army stations us we will go!

Busy Busy Busy!!!

Holy moly where have I been!? Well, Mason and Kira are officially placed with us now, so anytime after January 1st the adoption can be finalized. We are so very excited about this!! I have been spending a lot of time helping Andre with his real estate marketing, and he found a firm that is going to help more with it, soooo, that means more time to play with my kiddos!! Andre is beginning a Bible Training course this week that is very close to the upper level classes you would take at a Bible College, taught by our associate pastor, Bob Paget. We are extremely excited about what we can learn through this and about going deeper in our biblical knowledge!!

Little Andre is getting so big!! He is ALWAYS on the go, crawling everywhere, exploring everything. He has begun to pull himself up on things and gets quite frustrated when he can't get back down. I just know he'll be walking in the next 2-3months.

Kira has really come out of her shell, she has such a funny personality. She loves to be silly, and loves to make Tre laugh :) She is quite  the clumsy one, always falling and getting bruises. We are hoping to get her in a dance class soon, as she LOVES to dance, and Mommy is hoping it will help her clumsiness!!

Frankie is still the little cutie pie, he is also always on the go. I can try to get him to sit down and watch a movie and he lasts about 10 minutes, then is off to playing again! He loves to play pretend and is always making us laugh.

Mason, oh my Mason man is getting SO big! He will be 4 next month, which I just can't believe!! He is a natural born leader and loves to be our big helper. He is just a joy to have around!!

And as for me, I have been doing quite a bit of crafting lately! I have made some things to decorate Kira's room, and tons of stuff for my good friend Connie's baby shower (her first girl!!!) that is coming up soon. I am so blessed to have a family that supports me in doing what I love, crafting!!

And my last thought for the day: God is with us in every circumstance, good and bad. Remember to praise Him at ALL times!!

How did they make it 40 years?

This past weekend my family and I had the honor of attending a bbq celebrating Bev and Frank Bradley's 40th wedding anniversary! While the bbq was crazy in itself with 11 children running around all under the age of 8, the majority under the age of 5, it really got me thinking! It is rare to find couples that have stayed together for such an incredible amount of time, and I am now questioning, what do you think it takes to make it 40, 50, 60+ years of marriage? I am excited for the day that Andre and I can look back and say, "wow, it's been 20,30,40 years" and still be happy and in love. So what are your thoughts? What does it take, other than a lot of prayer, and chocolate for the wife HAHA!!!

it's been awhile....

Wow, things have been kind of crazy on the home front so I haven't been able to update in awhile. Sorry! Where to start!? Grandpa came to visit this past weekend which was so nice, we went to breakfast at The Cracked Egg and sweet little Frankie went crazy for their coffee cake (I don't blame him it was AMAZING!!) Frankie is becoming quite the character, he is beginning to form small sentences (i.e. Hi Dada, I did it, no touch) and he loves to be on the go. He is really starting to love being a big brother and snuggles and gives hugs and kisses to Tre whenever he gets the chance.Tre is 3 months old now and so big. He is so strong he has been able to hold his head up since he was 2 days old and is now beginning to roll over. He is just the happiest baby with the biggest smiles all the time. And the best part, he sleeps a good 6-8 hours at night!! Woohoo for mama, that means I actually get some sleep!

Now for the biggest news - as some of you know my niece and nephew were taken into the custody of CPS in October of '08 and have been living with my dad and stepmom since. Well as of the 22nd of this month they will be officially placed with us and in 6 months we will be able to adopt them!! We are very excited!! Mason in 3 and a half and just a lovebug. He is such a good big brother and the leader of the pack. Kira will be 2 in a little over a month and is little miss sassy pants but a total "mommy's girl" I love that I am going to have some pink in the house - and that these precious babies will get to stay in the family and not get wrapped up in  the foster care system. God has really blessed us with this venture and our families have been such great support. Keep us in your prayers as we embark on this new adventure as we know it will come with many challenges, but is so worth it.
